Real Pretty

Just because, I'm Not like you,
Doesn't Mean, I don't matter.
Just because, I don't do what you do,
Doesn't Mean, I'm wrong.
Just because, I'm not pretty,
Like you, I deserve to be ignored?
Because of that, I get treated real shitty,
Because I'm not like you, real pretty.

But Maybe you, Don't deserve your fame,
Maybe you stepped on people to get it.
All I know is, I'm not the same,
I treat everyone, like they matter.
Just because, I hang out with a different crowd,
Because, I like my friends not yours.
Because, I'm not up on your 'cloud',
I get isolated, from all of your crowd.

Just because, I'm fine,
with who I am, right now.
Doesn't mean, I like being outshined,
I hate it, don't you see.
No real social life, no dates,
nothing at all, not even a chance.
No proving myself, or my good traits,
Which is why, I care when someone hates,

Why aren't I like you, the thought is vain,
not pretty, not happy, or smart at all.
Because no, I'm not who I want to be.
Thinking this question over, sometimes drives me insane,
I'd like to say, that I'm better,
better than, who you are.
But I'm not, Not cool, or a trend setter,
I can't even dress right, in a simple sweater.

I tell myself, that maybe your not,
Real Pretty. Maybe that's what I am.
not on the outside, but deep in my heart,
Where it matters, or so I'm told a lot.
But I can't bring myself to believe,
That lie that I hear.
You're kind of pretty I wish to achieve,
Is something I'll never receive.

So Here I sit today,
Hiding behind my computer.
And here and now,
I find I have something to say.
Real Pretty, is what's on the inside,
No matter who thinks it isn't,
Remeber, life is a wild ride,
and your 'real pretty' it's something you shouldn't hide.

And now I say, go out!
Be a brand new you!
Be proud of who you are,
you're gorgeous no doubt!
Go and be happy with who you are,
No matter who puts you down.
Because remember this part ,
someone who loves you isn't far.
