Dear Mom, can I have a cow?

Dear Mom
This poem is for you, on this special day
Poetry is my only way, to say what I want to say
So here I am, asking this now
Will you get me a pet cow?

I know that you don't like cows all that much
Except on your burger with a side of fries and such
But I promise he won't cause you much grief
And if he does, you can get some free beef

And though I'll miss him greatly if he goes,
Doing that for you only shows,
How I love you a great deal
Because I know you'll make me a great meal.
